BRYAN KLAWUHN

Attorney at Law

I am a veteran of the U.S. Navy, most notably serving on the USS IOWA (BB-61) from 1987-89.

After being honorably discharged from the US Navy, I attended U of M Flint where I received my BA in Economics. I attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI where I received my Juris Doctorate. I moved to Petoskey in May of 2000 to start my own law practice. I have always been fascinated by law, as it is always changing. The thought that one person could change the course of someone’s life through the practice of law intrigues me.

I have taught pre-law and criminal justice classes at North Central Michigan College as well as I have taught the concealed pistols class for Harbor Springs Outdoor Club for the last 17 years.

I am a member of the Criminal Defense Attorney of Michigan, Michigan State Bar, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers as well as the former President of the Charlevoix/Emmet Bar Association.

I am actively working on establishing a veterans court in Northern Michigan.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, riding my motorcycle, working on an occasional round of golf and traveling with my wife Monica.
